TITLE: Universal Express Pass 2026: The Real Numbers
Is Universal Orlando's Express Pass actually worth the money this summer? We ran the numbers using verified data, no exaggeration.
At Universal Studios Florida it starts at $109.99 per person, climbing to $230 or more on peak dates. At Islands of Adventure it starts at $114.99. At Epic Universe — the resort's newest park — it starts around $130 in low season and can top $300 in peak season, with a range of roughly $130 to nearly $330 depending on demand.
Does it actually save time? On busy days, standby waits for headliner rides hit 60-90 minutes. With Express Pass those drop to just 5-15 minutes — a real savings of 3 to 5 hours across 6 to 8 rides. At Epic Universe the pass is single-use per ride (there's no "Unlimited" version like at USF/IOA) and covers the entire park except Dragon Racer's Rally, including Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry.
Here's a perk most people miss: staying at Loews Portofino Bay, Hard Rock Hotel, or Loews Royal Pacific gets you Universal Express Unlimited included in your room rate, no extra charge. And since April 2026 there's a new option called "Express Now," letting you buy quick access to a single ride at a time through the app while you're already inside the park, for roughly $20 to $30 per person.
Would you buy it for your next trip, or take your chances with rope drop instead? Tell us what you'd choose.
