Castaway Cay: Disney's Private Island in the Caribbean

Castaway Cay is Disney's private island in the Bahamas, nearly 1,000 acres north of Nassau, purchased in 1997 back when it was still called Gorda Cay. Follow me: tomorrow I'm covering the monsters that just arrived at Epic Universe.

Disney dredged a channel so the ship docks right at the shore, so you can walk on and off whenever you want. The free Pelican Plunge slide is 140 feet long, Serenity Bay is the adults-only beach, and since 2024 there's a second private island: Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, on Eleuthera.
