Hogsmeade vs Ministry of Magic: What Changed on July 1

Did you know that as of July 1, 2026 you can no longer use Express Pass on Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure? Follow along: tomorrow I'm covering Magic Kingdom's best rides, part 4 of the Inside Epic Universe series.

Hogsmeade (Islands of Adventure) opened in 2010 with a British village setting. Ministry of Magic (Epic Universe) opened in May 2025, entered through a 1920s Paris Metro portal. The big change this season: Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure no longer accepts Universal Express Pass and averages a 124 minute wait, while Battle at the Ministry does accept it, since August 2025. Minimum heights: Hagrid's requires 48 inches, Battle at the Ministry requires 40. And a heads up: the Hogwarts Express doesn't connect to Epic Universe, they're separate parks.
